The East Grand Lake area of Washington County in northeastern Maine, wanted a website design that reflected the flavor of the type of recreational activities & informational articles; that the visitors they were trying to attract, would find resourceful & visually interesting.
This custom real estate website was built utilizing the WordPress content management system (CMS). It includes many custom WordPress plugins and modules as well a modified WordPress core. The functionality of this website includes the ability for the administrator to dynamically load real estate listing from an IDX / MLS of their choice and to easily add and modify real estate listing as well as featured property listings with dynamic information about the listings from Zillow, Walk Score, Yelp and Google maps. Each of the real estate listings is automatically fed into all of the major real estate websites with an RSS feed. The administrator is easily able to change various aspects of the website, including the look, components, and functionality without any particular web design or development knowledge. By utilizing the WordPress content management system as part of the design, the adding or updating of content is trivial. The website content is automatically search engine optimized, with the appropriate titles, and meta tags.
